COMMUNITY CONSULTATION

Sydney Airport considers community consultation to be vitally important.

The Preliminary Draft Master Plan (PDMP) was exhibited for public comment between 22 September 2008 and 16 December 2008.

Sydney Airport undertook an extensive community consultation process with all key stakeholders including local government, Australian and NSW Government agencies, the aviation industry, business, tourism and community groups, as well as the broader Sydney public.

Sydney Airport will now ensure that all comments made during the consultation process are carefully considered, and that any appropriate changes are made to the PDMP before it is submitted to the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure, Regional Development and Local Government for his consideration.

Copies of the PDMP and other related documents and information can be downloaded free of charge from this website.

Regular Community Updates were provided in local newspapers, and a series of Community Open Days were held in areas around the airport. These open days allowed people to view the documents, and have any questions answered by Sydney Airport representatives.
