Sydney Airport partners with Skybus to enhance passenger experience

Sydney Airport has appointed SkyBus as its new ground transport partner, enhancing the passenger experience and efficiency as the airport moves towards an a fully electric bus fleet.

From today, SkyBus will operate Sydney Airport’s 40-strong bus fleet from a an on-airport depot, delivering seamless airside, landside and inter-terminal transfers that will make travelling through Australia’s international gateway smoother and more reliable.

As part of the five-year agreement, SkyBus will also support Sydney Airport’s transition to zero-emission transport, with the full fleet to progressively shift to electric vehicles by 2030.

“Partnering with SkyBus will allow us to deliver efficient transport services across the precinct, while also supporting our transition to a fully electric fleet. This means passengers can look forward to smoother connections today, and a more sustainable journey into the future.”

Sydney Airport’s bus fleet plays a vital role in transporting passengers between terminals and aircraft and are central to maintaining on-time performance, minimising transfer times and ensuring passengers can move quickly and comfortably through each stage of their journey.
