Local community investment
At Sydney Airport, we're committed to being a responsible and valuable part of the local community.
Our Community Investment Strategy is built on three purpose-led pillars, addressing the needs, interests, and concerns of those who live and work in the areas surrounding the airport.
Through these pillars, we aim to make a meaningful and lasting impact on our local community.
Schools & Education | Community Sport | Local Environment |
|---|---|---|
| Investing in education is an investment in the future. By providing free airport tours for local public primary schools, supporting mentoring programs for high school students and offering SYD100 scholarships through the UNSW School of Aviation, Sydney Airport is helping create opportunities for local young people. | Access to sport and recreation plays an important role in building healthy, connected communities. Sydney Airport is sponsoring swimming lessons and water safety programs through Inner West and Bayside councils. We're also helping to fund the redevelopment of Botany Aquatic Centre and the construction of a new community pump track. | Caring for the local environment is a priority our community has told us matters. Through long-term partnerships, projects and initiatives with environmental and First Nations organisations, Sydney Airport is addressing local environmental challenges and supporting biodiversity at the airport, in local waterways and across Botany Bay (Gamay). |
