T1 International

The assistance animal and watering facility is available on the arrivals level of the T1 International terminal. The facility can be accessed by inbound passengers only.

It is located opposite Gate 54, just before the Heinemann Duty Free store.

T2 Domestic

New assistance animal relief facilities are available after security screening in the T2 Domestic terminal.

The facilities are located on the concourse level, adjacent to the Heinemann retail area.

Domestic Car park

New assistance animal relief facilities are available in the Prime Park car park, conveniently located between the T2 and T3 Domestic terminals.

All ATMs throughout our terminals have braille functionality.

Changing places bathrooms provide full size change tables and hoists to meet the needs of people with profound disabilities to provide facilities to use amenities more comfortably.

Sydney Airport has adult change facilities in the domestic and international terminals, at the following locations:

• T1 International terminal - Arrivals, near Gate 54 (accessible to international arriving passengers only)
• T1 International terminal – Arrivals, adjacent to our Meeting Point
• T2 Domestic terminal – Arrivals concourse, opposite baggage carousel 2
• T2 Domestic terminal - Departures, after security adjacent to the Heinemann retail
• T3 Domestic terminal – Departures concourse, adjacent to Qantas Service Desks (before security)

Wheelchair accessible drinking fountains are located throughout our terminals.

There are a number of Flight Information Display screens throughout our terminals. Refer to the screens for up-to-date arrival and departure times, boarding calls, gate numbers and baggage carousel details.

T1 International terminal is now a quiet terminal, meaning passenger and flight announcements are confined to gate areas only. Essential announcements will continue to be made throughout the terminal.

Google Maps Indoor Live View is now available at Sydney Airport.

Indoor maps is a new augmented reality feature on Google Maps - available in both international and domestic terminals - designed to help passengers find gates, baggage claims, retail outlets, dining options, restrooms, ATMs and more.

For any wheelchair or accessibility passengers, please select the ‘Wheelchair accessible’ preference to find wheelchair, pram and suitcase friendly paths. You can also turn on audio navigation prompts, in addition to visual cues.

As part of Sydney Airport’s commitment to comply with the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport (DSAPT), the installation of hearing loops is now complete in select areas of T1 International terminal and T2 Domestic terminal.

Look for the International Symbol below, which is used to indicate that a hearing loop has been installed. More information about hearing loops can be found here.

If you are deaf, or have a hearing or speech impairment, you can contact Sydney Airport via the National Relay Service. Provide the NRS with the Sydney Airport Customer Care number, 133 793.

Wearing a sunflower lanyard at Sydney Airport enables staff to recognise that you have a hidden disability. If you would like to identify your hidden disability, you can pick up a hidden disabilities lanyard at one of the following locations:

• The Airport Services Centre located on Level 3 (Administration) at T1 International terminal
• The Ambassadors information desk on Arrivals level at T2 Domestic terminal
• The oversized luggage counter on Departures level at T3 Domestic terminal

At security screening and passport control this lets staff know that you may need more time and support through processes. Where possible, staff will facilitate you through the special assistance lanes. Note this lanyard does not give you fast track access through security or passport control.

There are interactive information and wayfinding kiosks located throughout both T1 International and T2 Domestic terminals. These have been designed to assist people in wheelchairs at various locations.

Departing? Trolleys are available on the kerbside outside the terminal for $5 (card payment only). Arriving? Trolleys are free of charge inside the baggage hall and in car parks.

Dedicated meeting points can be found at the following locations in the T1 International and T2 Domestic terminals;

Access within the terminal is facilitated by the provision of aerobridges, ramps, travellators and lifts.

Tactile ground surface indicators are also used within the terminal to provide people who are visually impaired, indication of changes of surface conditions.

TTY phones are located at the following points:

T1 International terminal

• Level 1 (Arrivals):Opposite exit gates A/B arrivals
• Level 2 (Departures): At the end of check-in A
• Level 2 (Departures): At the end of check-in G
• Level 2 (Departures): At the end of check-in K
• Level 2 (airside - Pier B): At departure gate 22
• Level 2 (airside - Pier C): At the base of the escalators leading to the airlines lounges

T2 Domestic terminal

• Departure level opposite check-in counter 8
• Arrivals level opposite baggage carousel 2

Various ground transport options available for all passengers departing from all of our terminals including: bus, train, shuttle, taxi, ride share operators such as Uber and UberAssist, rental cars, limousines, self-drive and bikes.

A dedicated special assistance lane is available at all kerbside taxi queue ranks.

Two accessible pick up spaces are available on the Arrivals level of all terminals with wheelchair access ramps. Drivers must remain with their vehicle at all times.

Wheelchairs are available upon request from your airline. Please advise them of any requirements at the time of booking and at least 48 hours prior to your arrival to the terminals.
