Local school choirs light up the terminal

In the lead‑up to Christmas, the T1 Forecourt at Sydney Airport came alive with music, joy and community spirit as four local primary schools joined us to spread festive cheer. Throughout December, students from Ferncourt Public School, Mascot Public School, Stanmore Public School and Ashfield Public School filled the terminal with Christmas carols, bright smiles and plenty of sparkle.

Some of these schools have previously visited SYD on an all-day FREE school tour, so we were delighted to welcome them back for festive fun.

Each school brought its own special performance, creating heart‑warming moments and lifting the spirits of passengers and visitors moving through the airport. A special thank you to the many travelers who paused to listen, sing along or even share a dance with our young performers!

Our school choir program is part of Sydney Airport’s ongoing Community Investment Strategy, strengthening our connection with local schools while creating memorable experiences for everyone who passes through our terminals.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the schools, teachers and students who took part. Your energy, preparation and festive spirit truly brightened the airport this Christmas season. We’re already looking forward to welcoming even more local voices next Christmas!
