We're committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors and visitors across our operations, particularly those involved in activities that may impact the safety of aircraft operations.

Our safety information for airlines, ground handlers, border protection agencies, retail and property tenants, their staff and contractors is available on request. Please contact your Sydney Airport representative for a copy, and include the following information:

  • Company name;
  • Name of company representative(s) responsible for ensuring OH&S compliance and;
  • Contact details including email addresses and phone numbers.

General Contractor Induction

The General Contractor Induction e-learning course is a mandatory requirement at Sydney Airport for any contractor undertaking any kind of works across the airport precinct, including third party contractors.

Contractors must complete the Sydney Airport General Contractor Induction prior to commencing works on-site.

Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP)

The Civil Aviation Safety Regulation (CASR) Part 99 Drug and Alcohol Management Plans and Testing came into effect on 23 March 2009. This legislation applies to all those that undertake Safety Sensitive Aviation Activities (SSAA) and / or those required to work airside at Sydney Airport.

Any Sydney Airport-engaged contractor performing activities in a SSAA must comply with the Sydney Airport Drug Alcohol Management Plan unless otherwise advised.

Completing SYD Inductions and Training

Airport Partners (such as contractors, ground handlers, tenants, third parties) can complete SYD inductions and training on AIRDAT Passport:
