To make way for new generation aircraft, we're upgrading the Pier B South Apron at the international terminal to include additional aircraft contact bays.

Maximising the number of fully capable bays will facilitate the more efficient use of our contact gate capacity and will support us in providing improved levels of service for airlines operating these aircraft.

As part of these upgrades, the following works are also taking place:

• Realignment of the taxi lane INTL5 to provide additional space on the parking bays
• Reconstruction of approximately 1100m2 of aged, end of life concrete pavement (52 years old)
• Relocation of the fuel hydrant points for the new aircraft parking positions

Works are due to be completed by May 2024.
